Caltest is a company that has been organized to provide users of Near Infrared (NIR) instruments with expert support that is needed to get the most reliable results from the technology.

Our Sentinel Care Program is an in-depth procedure and software package for instrument and analytical results monitoring and evaluation.

The Caltest software prompts the NIR operator to perform required instrumental quality control actions on a timely basis to ensure that the instrument and calibrations are performing within specifications. Caltest provides calibration adjustments only when necessary, based on sound statistical guidelines. This frees up the NIR technician from the sometimes troublesome decision of when and how to adjust the NIR calibrations.

Systems on the Caltest Program are monitored daily for instrument diagnostics. All data is automatically backed up daily with automatic weekly evaluation downloads to the Caltest server.

Every month, all enrolled product NIR related files are automatically downloaded to the Caltest server for evaluation and storage. Caltest submits to the subscriber a monthly report, containing the monitoring and evaluation information needed for the maintenance of a "paper trail" on the instrument's performance. Subscribers also receive documentation on all calibrations that have been certified after they have completed the initial certification program. Fresh certifications are issued in 12 weeks and then again every 11 months.
